A new tradition for Christmas is the introduction of ‘ugly Christmas Jumpers’ which are now turning into a fashion trend. Every year the designs become even wilder and some turning to the news for inspiration. Christmas Jumpers are now used to raise money for charity, with most offices, schools and workplaces using a specific day in December to collect money for a very good cause.
You do not need to buy a Christmas Jumper but instead decorate an old Christmas Jumper with some unwanted Christmas decorations and making a small donation to the charity. The idea is so simple, wear a Christmas themed jumper to the office or school and have everyone donate money to the charity.
Christmas Jumper Day this year is on Friday 16th December. Show off your silly side and let the Christmas cheer make its way through your workplace. With more and more companies joining in we urge everyone to join in too.
You can have competitions of the ‘Best Dressed’ or ‘Most Inventive’ Christmas jumper with a small certificate being presenting to the winners as a sign of achievement but more for the bragging rights!!
Save the Children, a charity based in England is the main charity for Christmas Jumper Day. (https://christmasjumperday.org/)
This year organise a Christmas Charity event which is quick and easy to do!
